Gegroet,
Ik ben Boris, en de meeste mensen die mij kennen zullen hierbij direct denken aan drummen.
Dit komt omdat ik een drummer ben, Ik ben op mijn negende beginnen te spelen op dit geweldige instrument.
Nu tien jaar later zijn mijn vaardigheden op de drums flink gegroeid en speel ik nog steeds met groot plezier op niet alleen de drums, maar ook op verscheidenen slagwerkinstrumenten waaronder grote en kleine trommels,tafels stoelen,banken eigenlijk bijna alles waar geluid uit komt.
Maar natuurlijk doe ik niet alleen aan drummen, ook verzorg ik met groot plezier dieren.
Zo werk ik nu in een vogelhospitaal dat allerlei inheemse(Nederlandse) vogels huisvest, weer oplapt en weer vrijlaat.
Al deze vogels zijn wild en dat willen we ook zo houden, omdat de vogels anders niet meer weg gaan doordat ze te tam zijn geworden.
Mijn passie voor de middeleeuwen is ook van jongs af aan begonnen, het begon met het verzamelen van allerlei beeldjes en poppetjes van stoere ridders en woeste krijgers.
Maar toen ik op een dag mijn surfboard er eens bijpakte om op het internet te gaan surfen, kwam ik een tal van winkels tegen die middeleeuwse kleding verkochten.
Doordat ik steeds vaker naar dit soort kledij ging zoeken stuitte ik op Noorderwind, en na de site goed bekeken te hebben en gelezen te hebben over de jaarlijkse Zomercursus was mijn anthousiasme zo groot dat ik me direct hiervoor heb aangemeld.
Na de zomercursus was ik verkocht en heb ik mij direct aangemeld voor lidmaatschap en zodoende is het nu al weer 2 jaar verder.

A bright early morning and boris wakes up ready for guard duty, boris and his fellow guards are located in loevenstein castle.
This is a beautiful castle with a high natural wall around the entire castle, The front gate is huge and has a long bridge extended to it.
a perfect place to guard since the castle has only one main entrance, so boris and 4 of his fellow guards get ready for duty.
Arriving at the main gate boris checks his sword buckles and straps to make sure it fits tight, a guard would´nt want to lose his sword on a bridge.
Judging by the sun Michel thinks it´s about twelve o clock, and they see the first bunch of visitors walking towards the castle.
It was a historical day since the castle was exactly 650years old, something most people from around town would´nt miss.
As the first people set foot on the long bridge they saw the 5 guards forming a human wall, realizing they weren´t getting inside the normal way.
A man stops at the 5 guards who ask him what his business is in the castle to which the man replied”i just want to look” then Ina one of the guards asks”do you have any bad intentions we've got many lords and knights staying here at the castle, we cannot let just anybody inside”.
The man assures all 5 guards he has no ill will against anybody inside, and gets granted access to the castle.
Many more of these dialogues follow during the day, when the group of guards spot a majestic sight.
A young knight and princess walk on the bridge with a whole delegation of followers behind them,Ina recognises the coat of arms and informs the Guard-captain Loek that the knight has come to joust.
The entire group of guards bow for the knight and his princess, and they could enter without any trouble.
Among the guards there was a bearded man with long hair and a big sword named Lars, Seasoned war veteran he enjoyed the calm days at this castle.
He had several ways to entertain the crowds, young kids could hold his sword and feel strong for a few seconds, but his presence alone left a big impression with alot of kids.
You could see it in their eyes they had never seen such a man, some of them were a bit scared but then he would talk to them and they realized he wasn't as scary as they thought he was.
Holding his sword made many kids feel proud, you could allmost see their dreams in a bubble above their heads saying”wow i wanna be a knight too”.
Michel had recently fought in the battle of Teylingen along with Boris, and he made people do things they probably still remember today.
Michel likes to play jokes on people and that day he had a big crowd, all the people wanted to enter the castle but michel was'nt about to let that happen just yet.
He asked”Why do you want to enter” to which most of the crowd reacted”We want to look”
Not good enough Michel replied”anyone who would like to enter has to hop across the bridge on one leg” and to the entertainment of the whole group of guards, all the people started hopping across.
Guard duty ended after that and the 5 guards had a great day, long to be remembered.

De Trainingen die ik heb zijn altijd erg leuk en leerzaam, Ik heb in een jaar al behoorlijk veel geleerd over het hanteren van verschillende wapens zoals vechten met eenhandige zwaarden,speervechten,boogschieten, en zelfs worstelen.
De leukste training vind ik de Muiderslottraing, dit is een openbare trainingsdag bij kasteel Het Muiderslot.
Hier draag ik mijn volledige militie-uitrusting en train ik de hele dag
We trainen elke eerste zondag van de maand bij dit kasteel, en de bezoekers die op die dag het kasteel komen bezoeken krijgen een dag vol vechtende,marcherende ridders en soldaten te zien.
